Harsh weather is definitely part of the process of global warming, whether it be out of the ordinary freezing temperatures or heat. Where I'm at in Oklahoma, we've had one day snows of over 10 inches only 3 times since the 1890's. But two of those have come in the last two seasons. The trouble is global warming is something that is hard to put on a measuring stick. Scientists aren't 100% sure of how long it will take before we get to the point of no return. One thing they know is fact, the Arctic is getting hit hard by global warming. And the pictures that have been taken of snow covered mountains and the retreat of glaciers are pretty scary. As little as 10 years ago they looked radically different than they do now. Whether you believe in global warming or not, you know greenhouse gases from the burning of fossil fuels and forest deforestation, especially of our rain forests, are not things we can continue to do and expect nothing to happen.
